We are the exclusive dealer of the 1911PW USMC .45 ACP custom built by Windham Armorer Gunsmithing of Vermont. The 1911PW was originally custom designed as a Combat / Tactical Precision Weapon (PW) and commissioned by a Marine for his use. It needed to be extremely combat tough and that meant using a total matte black IonBond DLC finish on the entire (High Carbon Steel) frame, slide, barrel and all internals. IonBond DLC finishes are found only on the finest of firearms - it is among the hardest finishes available with a rating of 70 to 90 on the Rockwell "C" scale. Also needed was the precision accuracy that could only be achieved by hand craftsmanship, giving the 1911PW the highest quality level of final fit and finish, while at the same time maintaining the high standards and integrity of the USMC
.We later expanded some of it’s features so that it could be used both by military personnel as well as a duty pistol for law enforcement. More recently it has found its way into the civilian world as a personal defence weapon due to its extreme safety, precision accuracy and combat toughness.
